The Jefferson boys won their 14th consecutive game with a 76-53 win over visiting St. Pius X on Friday night and captured the JCAA small-schools championship with a record of 5-0.
Before the boys played, the St. Pius girls defended their conference crown by smothering Jefferson 43-27. The Lancers (17-5, 5-0) held the Blue Jays (17-6, 4-1) to seven points in the first half.
The Jefferson and St. Pius boys are in Class 3 District 4 together and the girls teams will compete in District 3 at Jefferson.
In Eureka, the Wildcats hosted Webster Groves in a boys-girls doubleheader. The Eureka girls won their fifth straight game and improved to 16-8 and 4-0 in the Suburban Conference Yellow pool with a 68-36 win over the Statesmen. Webster Groves freshman Scottie Adkinson scored a season-high 31 points to lead his team to a 58-46 win over the Eureka boys.
