Crystal City woman charged with domestic assault

Mariah Davidson

Mariah Lynn Davidson, 18, of Crystal City has been accused of assaulting and chasing a family member while holding a knife while inside a Crystal City apartment. Davidson allegedly told officers she wanted to kill the victim, court documents said.

On April 17, Davidson was charged with felony first-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action. She was arrested on April 16 following the alleged attack, and as of April 22, she was being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records show.

According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Crystal City Police, officers were called at about 5:30 p.m. April 16 to an apartment in the 2000 block of Steamboat Court. Davidson allegedly knocked down a woman, who she dragged across the floor by her hair.

Davidson then got a knife and chased the woman out of the apartment, the report said.

The officer also wrote that Crystal City Police had previously been called to the apartment for similar incidents.
