A Barnhart girl died April 26 in an off-road vehicle crash 10 miles west of Fredericktown in Madison County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The Highway Patrol no longer identifies victims of vehicle crashes. Madison County Coroner Collin Follis did not immediately release the name of the victim.
The Highway Patrol reported at 10:10 a.m. the girl was driving a 2019 Polaris youth all-terrain vehicle on a private Madison County road when the side-by-side went off the left side of the road, down an embankment and into a private lake. The child was taken to Madison Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 11:28 a.m.
