Olin Cleo Evans, 75, of Festus died Nov. 13, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Evans was a truck driver for Supreme Express. He was a member of the St. Louis Masonic Lodge for 48 years and Life Christian Church. He supplied food and clothing to Indian reservations in South Dakota for 18 years. He was born March 11, 1939, in Shirley, Mo., the son of the late Roy and Edna (Mabe) Evans.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Bailey) Evans, whom he married June 25, 1966, in St. Louis; three sons: Dewayne Evans of Steelville, Roy Evans of Festus, and James (Amanda) Evans of De Soto; three daughters: Angie Lasmanis of Cuba, Theresa (Johnny) Sanders of Steelville and Brenda Pippin of Festus; two sisters: Glenna Dicus of Park Hills and Marilyn (Dale) Benson of St. James; a sister-in-law: Patricia Evans of Vichy; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Elizabeth Ann Evans; and two brothers: Lavern and Odell Evans.

Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 15, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, with the Rev. Derry Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery in Steelville. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain, SD 57325. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
