Man charged after alleged attempted rape

Oliver Valle-Ramos

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged a man after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who was giving him a massage. The man admitted to attempting to rape the woman, according to court documents.

Oliver Valle-Ramos, 25, who has no listed address, has been charged with first-degree rape or attempted rape and third-degree assault, both felonies. He also has been charged with misdemeanor first-degree sexual misconduct, court records show.

As of Monday, Valle-Ramos was being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, according to court and jail records.

According to the case’s probable-cause statement filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Valle-Ramos on April 9 went to a business for a massage because his neck was hurting. Before going to the business, he drank approximately five alcoholic beverages.

Shortly after the woman started to massage Valle-Ramos, he allegedly exposed himself to her and told her that he wanted to have sex with her. When the woman refused, he tried to force the woman to the ground, the report said.

Valle-Ramos allegedly told investigators he hit the woman several times, and he forced her to the ground and tried to remove her clothes. He also said he got on top of the woman, but he was unable to have sex with the woman, according to the report.

Court documents said the woman’s right pinky finger was broken during the alleged assault. The woman’s husband interrupted the assault and held Valle-Ramos at the business until authorities arrived.
