Truetken, Mary

Mary Margaret Truetken, 66, of Imperial died Feb. 6, 2025. Ms. Truetken was a social worker and member of the American Indian Society of St. Louis. She also was Catholic. Born June 11, 1958, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Audrey (Wray) Truetken of Florissant and the late Libory Truetken.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 32 years: Gary Busiek of Imperial; a child: Kateri Truetken Busiek; four siblings: Janet Mauller of Maryland Heights, Pat (Dale Henderson) Endraske of Alton, Kathy (Cindy Miller) Crocker of Jacksonville, Fla., and Karen (Joni Sisky) Elder of Murphysboro, Ill.; three sisters-in-law: Sue Truetken of Greensboro N.C., Diane (Tim) Murphy of Imperial and Sue Battig of Godfrey, Ill.; a brother-in-law: Don Busiek of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a child: Jeremiah Truetken Busiek; two siblings: Daniel Truetken and Thomas Truetken; and a sister-in-law: Claudia Busiek.

Funeral Services were held today, Feb. 10, at St. Cronan Church in St. Louis, officiated by Father John Brennell. Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Jeremiah's Team of the St. Baldrick's Foundation or the American Indian Center of Springfield. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County.
