Helga A. Sims, 86, of Arnold died June 28, 2026, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Born Jan. 3, 1940, in Hamburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Minna (Fugemann) Kollmar and Fredrick Kollmar.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Ronald Sims of Arnold; five children: Frank (Monika) Kollmar of Frankfurt, Germany, Bruce Niskanen of Arnold, Mike (Robin) Niskanen of Arnold, Larry (Lesley) Sims of O'Fallon and Nicole (Tim) Sims of Hillsboro; a son-in-law: Jim Williams of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren: Alexandria Kollmar of Frankfurt, Germany, Bryan Niskanen of Fenton, Christopher Niskanen of Arnold, Eric Niskanen of Arnold, Tim Asten of Imperial, Tina Newcomber of Robertsville, Josh Williams of Hillsboro, Jacob Williams of Hillsboro, James Williams of Festus, Luke Sims of O'Fallon, Lydia Sims of O'Fallon, Courtney Scott of Farmington and Caitlyn Boeger of Hillsboro; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Linda Williams.
A celebration of life will be private for friends and family.
