Daniel Lee ‘Danny’ Duckett, 53, of Eureka

Daniel Lee ‘Danny’ Duckett, 53, of Eureka died July 20, 2023, at his home. Mr. Duckett worked at Mertz Auto Body. A longtime “motor head” car enthusiast, he drove a shiny black Mustang he had restored as a teenager. He loved music and making people laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, floating, camping, fast cars and Scottish Terriers. Born Dec. 19, 1969, in St Louis, he was the son of the late Richard and Audrey (Whitener) Duckett.

He is survived by his wife: Tammy (Andel) Thomas-Duckett, whom he married June 21, 2003; a son: Chad Aaron Thomas; two siblings: Rick (Theresa) Duckett of Washington, Mo., and Cindy Duckett Tritch of O’Fallon; his parents-in-law: Jerry and Sandy Andel of Camdenton; and his Scottie puppy, Marley May, whom he treated like a child. He was preceded in death by his younger brother: Daryl.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Club Villa, 8400 Villa Magnolia Road, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
