Michael David “Mike” Politte, 55, De Soto

Michael David “Mike” Politte, 55, of De Soto died Aug. 28, 2021, in De Soto. Mr. Politte was a salesperson for Pacific Lumber. He was a life member of Amvets Post 48 and Sons and Riders. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Born Aug. 27, 1966, in Crystal City, he was the son of Delores Lucille (Marten) Politte and the late John William Politte Jr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: Jean M. Politte of De Soto and Bryon D. Politte of De Soto; two brothers: Paul Politte of De Soto and John W. Politte III of De Soto; two sisters: Michelle Politte of Blackwell and Diana Hanger of Crystal City; three grandchildren: Maci Politte, Remington Politte and Waylon Schanz; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by three siblings: Jeffery, Glennon and Linda Politte.

Funeral services were held Sept. 4 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Carl Wilhelm, followed by a procession to Amvets Post 48. Memorials may be made to Amvets Post 48, 1075 Amvets Drive, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel.
