Melba L. (Lowrance) Lackey, 89, of Arnold died Nov. 10, 2019. Ms. Lackey was preceded in death by her husband: Glennon “Boots” Lackey.
She is survived by a daughter: Katherine J. (Benjamin) Straw; a son: Mark L. (Laura) Lackey of St. James; four grandchildren: Amy (Brian) Houst, Jeremy Lackey, Sarah (Dylan) VanAntwerp and Elizabeth Lackey; four great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Emma Houst and Deven and Landon Throop; several nieces and nephews, including Gary (Diane) Karakas, Steven (Eileen) Karakas and Patti Smith; and many friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road. Visitation is at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the People’s Church, 1770 Missouri State Road, in Arnold. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the People’s Church or to de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis County. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
