Mark R. Richards, 58, of De Soto died April 8, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Richards was a welder and a handyman. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in De Soto. Born Feb. 19, 1960, in Festus, he was the son of the late Phillip “Phil” and Vera (Landon) Richards.
He is survived by three siblings: Debbie (Bob) Stonecipher of Brownstown, Ill., Steve (Pam) Richards of De Soto and Bill (Sue) Richards of St. Louis; a nephew: Matthew Stonecipher of Brownstown, Ill.; and seven great-nieces and nephews: Andrew Stonecipher, Tyler Stonecipher, Carson Stonecipher, Stella Stonecipher, Hailey Stoncipher, Charis Ward and Nathan Ward.
He was preceded in death by a nephew: Jonathan Stonecipher.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Parkview Baptist Church, 1531 Hillcrest Drive, in De Soto, officiated by Jacob Adams. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
