The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a woman who allegedly stole a man’s car in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The car was recovered the same day that it was stolen, authorities reported.
On March 27, a man said a woman stole his 2024 Toyota Corolla when he went for a job interview at a business in the 1300 block of West Lark Industrial. The man said he left his car running when he got out to talk to another man, and then a woman got into the car and drove off, the report said.
The woman returned to the area, but she drove away again. The vehicle was found at about 8 p.m. March 27 near the intersection of Buckeye Valley and Hwy. MM in the Otto area, according to the report.
The Corolla was returned to the man, the report said.
As of April 6, the woman had not been arrested, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
