A 24-year-old Arnold man died in a crash on Hwy. 141 at Old Lemay Ferry Road early this morning, Oct. 19, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Highway Patrol no longer identifies victims of crashes. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office did not immediately identify the man.
The Highway Patrol report states the man was driving a 2014 Dodge Journey too fast for conditions and failed to negotiate a curve to the right at 12:30 a.m. north on Hwy. 141. The vehicle reportedly traveled off the left side of the road and struck a traffic pole.
He was taken by Edwards Mortuary Service to the St. Louis County Morgue.
The report said it was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was totaled.
