Fast food lovers, mark your calendars.
The new Herculaneum McDonald’s restaurant will open 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at 1188 Herculaneum Crossing, with the grand opening event at 10 a.m.
Amy Winchester, public relations representative for McDonald’s St. Louis, said a large check will be given to a representative of Brenden’s Backpacks during the event.
As part of the grand opening celebrations, Winchester said, the restaurant will have several special offerings including a punch card for one free McCafe beverage every month for one year for the first 100 people in the drive-thru today; a Family Fun Day on Oct. 17 where customers can enjoy free activities such as a petting zoo, face painter, balloon twisting, caricaturist and Grimace; and a month of daily specials including $2.99 Happy Meals on Wednesdays and free cookies on Saturdays.
Herculaneum Mayor Ryan Wright said he’s thrilled to see the new business open.
“I’m very excited about McDonald’s coming to Herculaneum,” he said. “It’s nice that our residents get to use that restaurant and keep the tax dollars in the city. Every town should have a church and a McDonald’s. I will be one of the first few customers.”
