Lois (Rapps) Stinson, 89, of Eureka died June 20, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Stinson grew up in Kirkwood and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis. She was a longtime council member of St. John United Church of Christ in Manchester, and she taught secondary school English and later became the managing administrator at Eureka Medical Arts in St. Louis County and later SMC Medical Center in Miami, Fla. She also was a longtime member of the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo and attended the Protestant Chapel at Ocean Reef and sang with the Ginger Snaps. She was born April 26, 1932, in Washington, Mo.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Dr. Harold Stinson; two children: Dr. William Stinson and Dr. Susan Karol; and a grandchild: Laura Stinson.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday (June 25) at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road in Ballwin. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (June 26) at St. John United Church of Christ. Burial will be in St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 332 Old Sulphur Spring Road, Manchester, 63021. Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
