Leavada Muriel Twiggs, 87, of De Soto died April 4, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Twiggs was a Hillsboro School District cafeteria worker. Born Dec. 21, 1931, in Mangum, Okla., she was the daughter of the late John Marshall and Minnie Louise (Thompson) Holloway. She was preceded in death by her husband: Billie Twiggs Sr.
She is survived by three children: Billie E. Twiggs Jr. of Hillsboro, Linda (Randy) Horridge of Farmington and Paula Twiggs of De Soto; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one brother: Johnny (Mary) Holloway.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Dan Gubitz. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
