Karen Sue Eggemeyer, 77, of Festus died Jan. 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Eggemeyer was an accountant for the Rock Creek Sewer District in Jefferson County and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pevely. Born Dec. 19, 1943, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Adella (Downen) Campbell Haier and Willard Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband: Orville Paul Eggemeyer.
She is survived by three sons: James “Jim” (Stephanie) Eggemeyer of Wentzville, Bradley “Brad” (Jennifer) Eggemeyer of St. Clair and Jay (Danna) Eggemeyer of Hillsboro; six grandchildren: Kyle (Miranda) Eggemeyer, Dylan (Loriana) Eggemeyer, Ryan Eggemeyer, Jordan Eggemeyer, Jayda Eggemeyer and Delaney Eggemeyer; a brother: Donald (Tom) Campbell of Aurora, Colo.; and a stepbrother: Bert Haier of Webster Groves.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather: William Haier.
A memorial gathering is from noon until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Bryan Roberts. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
