Judith Katherine “Judy” McPeters, 72, of Festus died Aug. 21, 2014, at her home. Ms. McPeters was the owner and operator of The Total Look Beauty Salon in Festus until her retirement. Born Aug. 20, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Constance Lorene (McArthy) and Eldon Visser.
She is survived by a special friend: Tom Sitek of Wildwood; one son: James “Pete” (Tracy) McPeters of Festus; two daughters: Jennifer L. (Ricky) Fowler of Creve Coeur and Elizabeth (Lyle) Speciale of Chandler, Ariz,; a sister: Joan (Herman) Neiman of Highland, Ill.; a brother-in-law: Ron Karberg; seven grandchildren: Maison Oberle, Jamison Oberle, Remington McPeters, Maclayne McPeters, Gabrielle Fields, Sydney Fields and Jarrick Fowler; and one great-granddaughter: Karleigh Dilworth. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Karberg and Constance Visser.
Memorial services were held Aug. 24 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
