Gloria J. Davis, 80, of Cadet died June 17, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, and spending time with family. Born Dec. 14, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Bernice (Kilbourn) and Thomas A. Williams Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene W. “Hun” Davis Sr.
She is survived by 11 children: Bonnie (the late Rick Brooks) Davis of De Soto, Terry (Betty) Davis of Sullivan, Debra (George) Wockenfuss of Cadet, Michael Davis of Cadet, David (Kennetha) Davis of De Soto and Patricia Davis, Katherine Davis, Robert (Chassidy) Davis, Eugene W. Davis Jr., Julia Davis and Nicole Davis, all of Cadet; two siblings: Gary (Judy) Williams of Lady Lake, Fla., and Bill (the late Carol) Williams of Chicago; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Arlene (the late Richard) Bueche and Mary (the late Vern) Mullennix; and two brothers: Thomas (the late Darlene) Williams Sr. and Robert Williams.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the funeral home, officiated by Terry Crank. Burial is in the Davis Family Cemetery in Cadet. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
