Gary Vernon Gulledge, 71, De Soto

Gary Vernon Gulledge, 71, of De Soto died Nov. 11, 2021, in De Soto. Mr. Gulledge worked as a union roofer. He was a member of VFW. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, working on his car, watching football, watching Cardinal's baseball, and listening to blues music. Born Aug. 14, 1950, in Ash Hill Township, he was the son of the late Lillian Fay (Pettipool) and Argil E Gulledge.

He is survived by a son: Joshua (Torey) Gulledge of Rolla; a sister: Charlotte (Keith) Smercina of Fenton; a nephew: Zachary Smercina; a grandson: Devin; a granddaughter: Charalyn (Nick); two great-grandsons: Bentley and Kaiden; and a great-granddaughter: Maybelle.

He also was preceded in death by a brother: Marvin Gulledge.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday (Nov. 29) at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks followed by burial in the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
