Arnold Police recently arrested a 54-year-old Bonne Terre man and 42-year-old Festus man for suspected drug trafficking.
Officers allegedly found approximately two pounds of suspected methamphetamine and a loaded gun in a pickup the men had parked behind the Circle K gas station, 2001 Richardson Road, police reported.
Officers were called about 9:05 p.m. Nov. 21 after the two men had parked a 2019 Ford F-150 behind the gas station. The Bonne Terre man was in the driver’s seat, and the Festus man was in the passenger’s seat, the report said.
Officers allegedly found several different packages suspected of containing meth hidden in the pickup and the pickup’s bed. The Bonne Terre man also allegedly was found with meth, and a gun was located near the driver’s seat, according to the report.
Drug paraphernalia also was allegedly found in the pickup, the report said.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the Bonne Terre man through the Eastern District of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a weapon, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
