A woman was found dead and a man was arrested at home in the 6200 block of Dulin Creek Road in House Springs, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said deputies were called to the home at about 7:30 a.m. today, Sept. 10. He said negotiators spent about five hours on the phone with the man before SWAT members arrested the man at about 1:15 p.m. today when he came out of the home and surrendered.
Bissell said the woman’s body was found after SWAT members entered the home following the man's arrest.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released more information about the ongoing investigation. It also did not provide more information about the woman or man.
If the woman’s death is ruled a homicide, it would be the eighth reported homicide the Sheriff’s Office has investigated this year. It also would be the seventh homicide in Jefferson County since July.
