Elijah Jay Lewis, 18, of Imperial died May 21, 2020, in St. Louis County. Mr. Lewis was a member of Oak Bridge Community Church, where he participated in youth group activities. He was handsome, brave, kind and playful, loved children and was fiercely protective and proud of his siblings. He had an inquisitive mind and could solve problems and puzzles effortlessly. He loved travel and adventure and was an organ donor. Born July 22, 2001, in St. Louis, he was the son of Mary (Chris) Rutledge of Imperial and Jason Lewis of St. Louis County.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is survived by seven siblings: Joel Domzalski of Arnold, Zachary (Megan) Lewis of St. Louis County, Lindsay Lewis of Arnold, Chloe Lewis of Arnold, Julian Rutledge of Imperial, Jackson Lewis of Arnold and Levi Rutledge of Imperial; his grandparents: Richard and Cathy Domzalski of Okawville, Benjamin and Margaret Lewis of Ballwin, Connie and Harry Rutledge Jr. of Columbia and Andrew Stubbs of House Springs; and many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Paula Stubbs of House Springs.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
