Carleen Marie (Alvino) Licari, 67, of Hillsboro died Aug. 26, 2022. Mrs. Licari was a homemaker. She donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine in the hope that her gift may help lead to a cure for lymphoma. Known as “Maw Maw,” she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Born Nov. 13, 1954, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Dolores Alvino.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Richard “Skip” Licari Jr.; two children: Richard “Ricky” (Laura) Licari III and Sara (Adam) Enloe; four grandchildren: Richard “RJ” Licari IV, Reed Licari, Marcella Enloe and Gavin Enloe; seven siblings: Carol (the late Bill) Handte, Cathy (Pete Hoyer) Noel, Cynthia (the late Schaf) Schafer, Paul Alvino, Christine (Jeffrey) Ryan, Charmaine (Charlie) Schoenbeck and Carrie Alvino; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Pete, Terry and Tom.
A memorial Mass and celebration of life are being planned. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or by donating blood and/or platelets to a local blood bank.
