Barbara Jean Boettcher, 80, of De Soto died May 14, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Boettcher was a homemaker. She was born Feb. 23, 1940, in Marquand, the daughter of the late Delbert Jeff and Mildred Grace (Sitze) Spane. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Boettcher.
She is survived by two children: Holly Jean Boettcher and Ronald Jason Boettcher, both of De Soto; two siblings: Lynn Meyers and Phyllis Wynn; a sister-in-law: Donna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Gene Smith. Burial is in the Moore’s Chapel Cemetery in Marquand. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 4000 Grace Way, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
