An Ohio man who federal prosecutors said traveled to Missouri to engage in sexual activity with a teenage girl was sentenced Tuesday to more than 13 years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.
U.S. District Judge Matthew T. Schelp sentenced Andrew Raymond Crum, 33, of Toledo, Ohio, to 160 months in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Crum allegedly met the girl through an online gaming platform in 2021, when she was 14, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Prosecutors said Crum began traveling to Missouri in February 2024, when she was 16.
Crum also exchanged sexually explicit images and videos with the victim through Snapchat.
The FBI learned in October 2024 that Crum was planning to return to Missouri and contacted the victim and her mother.
“Thanks to an anonymous tip to the FBI, we were able to stop Andrew Raymond Crum from continuing to sexually exploit a teenage victim,” FBI St. Louis Special Agent in Charge Chris Crocker said in the release.
Crum pleaded guilty in April to one count of coercion or enticement of a minor.
