• The National Weather Service expected the Missouri River to crest at over 22 feet Wednesday afternoon before falling back on Thursday. Low-lying rural areas are already flooding. Motorists should be careful on Easley River Rd. and Smith Hatchery Rd. in western Boone County until the warning expires Friday.
• The Show-Me State Games will add a Western Horse Show for the first time in the event’s history. Stephens College in Columbia will host the competition June 20-21. The new partnership will welcome riders from across Missouri to the college’s equestrian arena.
• A 16-year-old boy from St. Charles was injured Tuesday morning in a watercraft crash at the Lake of the Ozarks. State troopers say a powerboat driven by a 71-year-old Texas man struck the teen's jet ski.
• More than 12 inches of rain have fallen at Columbia Regional Airport since March 1. An average year is seven.
• Nighttime drivers in Boone County will see intermittent lane closures on I-70 starting tonight. MoDOT crews are performing core drilling and shoulder strengthening between Route BB and Midway through late June. One lane will close as needed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• A South Carolina man is back in Columbia to face murder charges for a 26-year-old cold case. Authorities booked Sentrell Wilson, 45, into the Boone County Jail Monday evening. Prosecutors say Wilson killed University of Missouri student Candace Richie in 2000.
