House Springs man charged with child enticement

Jeffrey K. Wilkerson Sr., 35, of House Springs has been charged for allegedly trying to arrange a sexual encounter with a girl. The girl was 17 years old or younger, according to court documents.

Wilkerson on April 16 was charged with felony enticement or attempted enticement of a child. He was arrested on April 15, and as of April 22, he was being held on a $50,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records show.

According to a probable-cause statement filed by the St. Louis County Police, Wilkerson started sending the girl messages at about 11:40 p.m. April 14 through Facebook Messenger. Investigators obtained copies of what Wilkerson wrote to the girl and identified him through Missouri Department of Revenue records.

Investigators located Wilkerson at Ritis Fast Mart, 4780 Raetta Lane, in House Springs. He was arrested, and during an interview, he allegedly admitted to sending the messages to the girl, the report said.
