A Columbia woman has been arrested and charged in Callaway County in connection to allegations of the sexual abuse of a child over a period of years.
Samantha Flansburg, 21, is charged with statutory sodomy and second-degree child molestation in connection to the allegations.
According to a probable cause statement, a child told investigators that Flansburg had inappropriately touched them over a period of years. Based on testimony from the child, one of their parents, and Flansburg, the probable cause statement alleges that Flansburg molested and sodomized the child from when they were about 6 years old to when they were 11.
The child reported that Flansburg said not to tell anyone about the incidents, according to the probable cause statement.
Flansburg was arrested and charged Wednesday, and she is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond, according to jail records.
A hearing for the case has not yet been set, according to online court records.
