The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a golf cart and other items from a construction work site at Windsor Intermediate School, 6208 Hwy. 61, in Imperial.

Authorities reported the incident occurred between noon July 7 and 5:30 a.m. July 9.

Someone apparently went into a fenced area and took items belonging to several construction companies, including an E-Z-Go golf cart owned by Brockmiller Construction; miscellaneous chains and binders; and 8,000 feet of wire from Schneider Electric.

The estimated value of the stolen items is $3,880.

Sgt. Matthew Moore of the Sheriff’s Office said July 19 the items had not been recovered and there had been no arrests.
