Pevely Police arrested a 44-year-old man on Thursday, Oct. 9, for allegedly firing a weapon during a domestic dispute.

In a written statement today, Oct. 10, Capt. Don Moore said the department responded to a call about 4:55 p.m. in the 900 block of Landmark Manor for shots fired.

Moore said when officers arrived, they determined that the suspect had been involved in a domestic dispute with a family members and fired at least one shot inside the residence. Police recovered the firearm and arrested the suspect who, as of this morning, was being held in the custody of Pevely Police, pending the application of warrants.

He said the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

Moore said no injuries were reported and the suspect’s name will not be released until formal charges are filed.

“The Pevely Police Department thanks the community for its continued support and cooperation as we remain committed to ensuring safety and peace throughout our neighborhoods,” Moore said.
