Victoria Paige Carter, 29, of House Springs allegedly ignored a protection order, went to a female relative’s home and scratched the woman’s face before taking her phone. Carter had previously been charged for allegedly attacking the woman and another family member, according to court documents
Carter on Sept. 11 was charged with stealing, a class D felony punishable by up to seven years in prison; third-degree domestic assault, a class E felony that carries a penalty of up to four years in prison; and violating an order of protection, a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000, court records show.
She was arrested on Oct. 5, and as of Monday, she was being held on a $10,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court documents said.
Carter on Sept. 4 allegedly violated a protection order by going to a home in the 4200 block of Cottage Grove in House Springs. She grabbed a woman by the face, leaving scratch marks, and took the woman’s phone as the woman was calling 911, the case’s probable-cause statement said.
Carter was already charged with third-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree assault for allegedly attacking the same woman and another person at the house in June, court records show.
A probable-cause statement said Carter on June 24 grabbed her relative by the hair and punched her in the chest. Another person in the home attempted to separate Carter and the other woman, and Carter allegedly punched that person in the face.
