Amber Ann Willey, 36, of Dittmer was recently arrested after she was allegedly found with substances that tested positive as methamphetamine and fentanyl last year. A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy found the substances after stopping Willey for traffic violations in Dittmer, according to court documents.
Willey was arrested on May 15, and as of May 22, she was being held on a $50,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court and jail records said.
Willey on April 24 was charged with felony counts of second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of driving with a revoked license and operating a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility, court documents show.
According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Sheriff’s Office, Willey on Dec. 30, 2025, was driving near the intersection of Hwy. 30 and Dittmer Road, and a deputy saw that she was failing to maintain a single lane and turned without using a signal.
Willey allegedly admitted to knowing her driver’s license was revoked after being stopped and said she had illegal drugs in her pants. A deputy allegedly found the substance in her pants, and he also allegedly found a purse with suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside it in the vehicle, the report said.
Willey told the deputy the purse belonged to her, according to the report.
The substances were tested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, which on April 14 identified the substances as meth and fentanyl, the report said.
Willey is considered a persistent offender because she has been found guilty of at least two prior felony drug offenses. She was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance in February 2020 and June 2008 in Jefferson County, court records show.
Court documents also said Willey’s driver’s license was revoked in August 2019 after being found guilty of reckless driving in Jefferson County.
