Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 35-year-old man, who has no known address, for allegedly stealing items at the Aloha Public Storage facility, 4121 Jeffco Blvd., south of Arnold. The man was arrested following a short foot chase, authorities reported.
Deputies were called on Sept. 21 to the facility for a burglary in progress. Deputies saw the man running from the business, chased him and arrested him without incident, the report said.
Deputies found a bicycle they believe the man rode to the business and a pile of items believed to be stolen from the storage units hidden in a nearby wooded area. The stolen items were returned, according to the report.
The man was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where he was booked, the report said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for burglary, first-degree trespassing and resisting arrest, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
