A 47-year-old Imperial man was arrested for allegedly threatening another man with a gun on property in the 4500 block of East Four Ridge Road. The suspect is related to the property owner, but he allegedly does not have permission to be on the property, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The man was arrested in the 4500 block of Ferrero Lane in Imperial on May 31, three days after the alleged incident, spokesman Grant Bissell said.

On May 28, a male was riding a UTV on the 35-acre property in Imperial when the male suspect, who was riding an ATV, blocked the small path he was riding on. The suspect got off the ATV and allegedly drew a black revolver from a belt holster and pointed it at the male on the UTV, the report said.

The suspect allegedly pointed the gun at the victim and said, “I will kill you.” The victim said he put the UTV he was riding in reverse, drove away from the suspect and went home to call the woman who owned the property. The woman told deputies the victim had permission to be on the property, but the suspect did not have permission to be on the property, according to the report.

The Sheriff’s Office will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree assault, armed criminal action and trespassing, Bissell said.
