The Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Baker Landscaping, 5895 Hwy. 61-67, in Imperial, where about $7,000 in items were stolen. The theft occurred overnight between May 14 and May 15, the report said.
At 6:54 a.m. May 15, the Sheriff’s Office got a call about the incident, and the business manager told deputies several items had been stolen from a trailer, a shed and a vehicle on the property. Locks had been damaged on the trailer and shed. The toolbox had been unlocked, according to the report.
Stolen items included five weed trimmers, five backpack leaf blowers, one sprayer, one power saw, one tool kit, one tool set and one roadside kit. In addition, the victim reported damage to the back of the trailer. The stolen items and damage was estimated at $7,075.
As of May 24, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no arrests had been made, Sgt. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
