Arnold Police are investigating the theft of five old air-conditioning units from a property in the 1100 block of Telegraph Road. The units were going to be sold for scrap metal and were stored in a fenced area, police reported.
The theft occurred between about 5 p.m. April 12 and 12:50 p.m. April 14, after someone apparently sawed through a section of the fence and removed the air conditioners. In all, the stolen equipment was valued at about $1,500, and the damage to the fence was estimated at $100, the report said.
As of April 22, the air conditioners had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
