A 33-year-old Eureka man was arrested on felony warrants after Flock license plate-reading cameras alerted police that there were warrants attached to the car he was driving. An officer also found drug paraphernalia in the car the man was driving, Eureka Police reported.

At about 9 a.m. April 9, Flock cameras alerted police that a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu that had two warrants attached to it entered Eureka and was traveling east on Fifth Street. An officer stopped the car near Meramec Boulevard, the report said.

After stopping the car, the officer learned the man was wanted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on warrants for a parole violation and failure to appear in court. The officer arrested the man on the warrants, according to the report.

When the office searched the Malibu, he allegedly found a syringe and a spoon with white powdery residue on it, the report said.

The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and issued a citation to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia. He was then transported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Capt. Michael Werges said.
