A dump truck was damaged at a work site that was being cleared so one of two flood walls could be built in Eureka. The truck was parked at the former Circle R Horse Lodge, 199 Allen Road, near East Fifth Street a belt and water hose were cut, Eureka Police reported.

The damage to the truck occurred during the overnight hours between July 17 and July 8. An estimated cost to repair the damage was not provided, according to the report.

As of July 29, no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.

The city of Eureka is building flood walls in Forby Creek about a half-mile from the Meramec River and in Flat Creek about a mile and a half from the river.
