Arnold Police are trying to identify a suspect who allegedly stole a wallet from a car parked outside Arnold VFW Post 2593, 2301 Church Road, and used one of the victim’s credit cards to buy more than $500 worth of items. The wallet was stolen between 3-9 p.m. Jan. 12 from a 2017 Ford Fiesta, Capt. Rich Shular said.

The wallet belonged to a 49-year-old Arnold woman. The wallet containe $80 in cash, credit cards and other items, and the estimated value of the wallet and its contents was $131.50, the report said.

On Jan. 13, one of the victim’s credit cards was used at the Circle K gas station, 1980 Richardson Road, in Arnold to buy $200 worth of items, and the same card was used that day to make a $305.95 purchase at Walgreens, 3937 Vogel Road, in Arnold. A woman allegedly forged the victim’s name on a receipt at the Circle K, according to the report.

Also on Jan. 13, someone tried to use the stolen credit card at Target, 3849 Vogel Road, in Arnold. However, that transaction was declined, the report said.

As of Jan. 22, Arnold Police were working with the Missouri Lottery to identify a potential suspect because lottery tickets were purchased during one of the transactions, Capt. Rich Shular said.
