An Arnold Police officer used a stun gun to stop a 37-year-old Arnold man who allegedly was attempting to flee from police. The man was not injured by the stun gun. However, he was transported to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County because of a preexisting medical condition after he was booked at the Police Station, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge reported.
Officers saw the man, who was wanted on multiple warrants for his arrest, at about 1:15 p.m. April 22 on Crosswinds Drive. When the officers tried to arrest the man, he allegedly ran, and one of the officers used the stun gun to stop him, the report said.
The man was wanted in Arnold on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, stealing, giving false information, assault, driving with a revoked license, property damage and domestic assault. He also was wanted on warrants from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the De Soto Police Department, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through Arnold Municipal Court for resisting arrest and other offenses, Wooldridge said.
