A 33-year-old Imperial man and 22-year-old Festus woman were arrested after officers allegedly found substances that appeared to be drugs in a car they were traveling in and a container that was concealed in the woman’s shirt, Arnold Police reported.
At about 7:45 p.m. Sept. 28, an officer stopped a 2004 Toyota Camry Solara because Flock license plate-reading cameras alerted that the license plates on the car had been reported stolen. The officer stopped the car in the parking lot of the Captain D’s restaurant, 830 Jeffco Blvd., the report said.
The officer allegedly found a bag on the passenger side floorboard with a smoking pipe and at least 10 capsules suspected of containing illegal drugs. He also saw a bulge in the middle of the woman’s shirt, and she voluntary removed a container that had a white powdery substance in it from under her shirt, according to the report.
The two were taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending the application of charges, the report said.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man and woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
