A 44-year-old Arnold man has been arrested for forgery after he allegedly defrauded Arsenal Credit Union out of $3,900, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman says.

The man allegedly deposited a fraudulent $4,500 check at the credit union and then on Oct. 17 withdrew $2,500 from the account and then over the next two days withdrew another $1,400 from the account using an ATM, Ruckman said.

St. Louis County Police picked up the man, and at about 2:15 a.m. Nov. 20 Arnold Police took him into custody.

Arnold Police will seek felony forgery charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said Dec. 3.
