The Leader is looking for the biggest, baddest, deepest potholes in the county so we can point them out to the appropriate street department. Just trying to be helpful.
We’re accepting nominations (must be accompanied by a photo) for the Biggest Pothole from now until Friday, Jan. 31. Our panel of seasoned road warriors will look over the entries, then award the winner a free vehicle alignment provided by co-sponsor Tire Bargains, 2100 N. Truman Blvd., in Crystal City.
The only requirement is that the pothole be on a public road (sorry, not your driveway) and that we have a clear photo of the entry. Send the photo or photos, along with a brief description of the crater’s location and your encounter with it, to Nvrweakly@aol.com. Please put “Biggest Pothole” in the nameline.
