Two women, one from Festus and the other from Hillsboro, were hurt Saturday afternoon (Oct. 16) in a two-vehicle traffic accident in the 6900 block of Hwy. B near the Raintree Plantation development west of Hillsboro.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Kaitlynn Wiley-Grubbs, 24, of Festus, was driving a 2013 Lincoln MKT north on Hwy. B and was turning into a private drive at 1 p.m. when she allegedly failed to yield to a southbound 2006 Dodge Ram driven by Carla Brooks, 42, of Hillsboro.
Both drivers sustained moderate injuries in the crash and both were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
Wiley-Grubbs was wearing a seat belt but Brooks was not, the report said. Both vehicles were totaled, according to the report.
