Authorities are seeking a man and a juvenile following a crash near Cherry Lane and Hazelwood Court in Horine the night of July 12 when the pickup they were in crashed and overturned. The driver allegedly grabbed the juvenile and the pair fled the scene of the accident, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A witness reported hearing the crash, which occurred around 10:10 p.m., and then seeing the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado skidding on its roof and coming to a stop. The witness heard a juvenile passenger screaming and helped the juvenile out of the overturned vehicle, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.
The witness further reported that the driver, a white male, grabbed the juvenile’s arm and the two ran north. The pickup was damaged and towed from the scene, Bissell said.
As of Friday, July 19, the driver has not been located and no arrests had been made, Bissell said.
