Thomas C. Galczynski, 38, of Festus was hurt Monday evening (Oct. 7) in a one-vehicle accident after he “suffered a medical condition” and crashed the pickup he was driving on Hwy. A west of Old Hwy. A northwest of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:50 p.m., Galczynski was driving a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 east on Hwy. A and lost consciousness before the pickup ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree, the report said.
He was moderately injured and transported by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Galczynski was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled, according to the report.
