Indie, a 4-year-old Yorkiepoo, has a distinctive gait, said owner Liz Desmarais of Festus.
“When she runs, she hops like a bunny,” Desmarais said.
She said Indie, who weighs about 6 pounds, is an affectionate pet.
“She loves cuddling,” Desmarais said. “She never wants to walk. She just wants to be held.”
Indie also is playful and gets along well with Desmarais’ other pets, she said.
“We also have a standard poodle and a miniature poodle,” she said. “Indie loves them. She’ll spoon with them. She’s always the little spoon.”
Indie is an important member of the household, Desmarais said.
“We love her to death,” she said.
