Pevely Board of Aldermen members voted unanimously Monday night (May 3) to lift the mask mandate for anyone entering Pevely City Hall, effective immediately. The mandate had been in effect since early in the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There is no longer a mandate to wear a mask at City Hall,” City Administrator Nathan Schauf said. “This includes those coming in for meetings or other business with the city. Employees, residents and visitors alike are welcome to wear a mask if they like, but are not required.”
He said the city will continue its practice of spacing apart seating at meetings in the building.
The board’s regular meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month at Pevely City Hall, 401 Main St.
