Here to help: First Community National Bank strives to serve during pandemic
Pandemic or not, people’s banking needs must be met.
“We’ve continued to serve our customers,” said Jason Bone, vice president, market leader and commercial loan officer at First Community National Bank. “Our primary focus has been on the safety of our customers and staff, while continuing to serve the needs of our customers.”
The Eureka branch, 450 Meramec Blvd., is one of six locations.
He said adjustments to the
COVID-19 pandemic had to be made and the bank adapted to protect its customers and employees.
“We made the difficult decision to close our lobbies while continuing to serve our customers through drive-thru,” Bone said. “We did continue to conduct business in our lobbies by appointment.
“The other part of continuing work during the pandemic has been disinfecting high-touch points of our drive-thru areas and lobbies.”
The lobbies have reopened, Bone said.
He said bank officials found that during the pandemic many customers turned to electronic options.
“We used eSignatures for documentation,” Bone said. “We further utilized DocuSign to serve customers.”
The bank staff also has been available to help small business owners.
“Through this time we’ve also served our business clients through the SBA’s (Small Business Association) Paycheck Protection Program. Our commercial lenders immediately assisted our business clients in the application process, keeping our customers informed through ongoing updates and changes in the program.”
Bone praised his staff for rising to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We really did a nice job in stepping up to meet our customers’ needs when they needed us the most,” he said.
